The Portuguese Government has selected Nabia’s Mercury platform to manage the mobile messaging communication between e-government services and citizens. Mercury platform currently sends more than 4 Million messages per month.
This project required an high availability, high performance and consistent solution in order to respond to the most demanding requirements. Built using the best technologies used in “mission critical“operations in the telecom industry, Mercury fully complied with the proposed requirements and is successfully audited by Minho’s University every other year.
Connected to all the Portuguese mobile telecoms (TMN, Vodafone and Optimus), Mercury currently serves critical e-government services like the national healthcare service (SNS) and support to the nacional electoral services.
The Mercury platform bridges ERPs, CRMs and other corporate solutions with mobile networks.
This high availability, high performance and consistent solution allows corporations to send and receive mobile messages through a simple API, hiding the complexity of session management, processes and protocols involved in communicating with the mobile operators.
Mercury was built using Erlang, a programming language designed by Ericsson to support distributed, fault-tolerant, soft-real-time, non-stop applications.
